You have in your midst future middle schoolers. Just like parents prepare their children for kindergarten years ahead of time with great eagerness, positive discussions, and careful preparation such as reading books or teaching numbers and colors, I believe middle school deserves the same excitement, respect, and optimism.

The seeds of potentially positive middle school experiences or potentially negative middle school experiences are planted with attitudes, discussions, comments, and opinions from parents waaaaaay before the first day of middle school. In my professional (and motherly) opinion, the best time to prepare for middle school starts in third grade, BUT it is never too late to begin preparing as now is always the best time to start. The suggestions and strategies found in my books can be used simply and immediately in every day life. Middle School Years Without Tears can help make the transition to middle school comforting, calming, and soothing…at any time.
